Bonus on the DVD of Arizona Dream released in April 2002, this 12 minutes one-shot-sequence which was not included into the final cut of Arizona Dream is a pure wonder "à la Kusturica", but it also brings a new glance on this history and especially reinforces the pessimistic destinies of the characters.

The Warner team - American distributor - was shocked by discovering in the rushes the hero drunk the day of his wedding. This 12 minutes one-shot-sequence is a film inside the film which had not found its place in the final cut...

The sequence begins with a priest who maries Axel and... Millie. In a few seconds, the blessing is pronounced, they kiss each other. ![]()
Two glasses of whisky... Then, comes Paul. Paul is now a star : he has a TV show ! ![]()
Paul joins the table of the grooms. The shot of the wedding table is in the purest Kusturica-style. Paul tries to seduce Millie and many things occur at the same time on the screen : the fans of Paul who wants to touch him, the children play and annoy everyone like in Underground, Millie who has fun with its pocket ventilator and Axel who wants to make his speech... ![]()
Once completed his speech (at the glory of Léo, cars and sex), Axel takes another glass and... vomits in the garden while resting on a giant cactus. ![]()
Joined by Millie and her friends (to whom belongs Axel's girlfriend), Axel thinks he's hallucinating when they start sing him a song... ![]()
Back in his office, Axel talks with Barney a new recruit for the business "Axel Sweetie Automobiles". On the contrary of his uncle, Axel does not sell Cadillacs, but... Yugo (small Yugoslav cars). With Paul, he recalls the golden rule of the house: "The 3 'S' of sale : Seduction, Sex, Psychology"... Axel drinks whisky from the bottle. Paul worries : "It' my wedding, Paul / I love you, Axel/I love you too, Paul, I love your show. I love when you spin this big wheel". In fact, we understand Paul became a simple television game showman... ![]()
The Mexican guitarists join the couple and play the music heard at the anniversary of Elaine. They follow Axel, as in every good film of Emir Kusturica... Here, Axel comforts Millie, always so sensitive and ready to cry. ![]()
Back to the garden, to vomit again, followed by the Mexican guitarists. But when he raises, Axel sees... ![]()
... a Cadillac coming from the sky... ![]()
...from which Leo gets out. A surrealist conversation follows. Leo is disappointed to see no Cadillac, but small cars without luxury, class... Axel tries to explain him why these cars are sold better today, but Leo must already go back : "It's a long way to the moon, Axel." ![]()
Axel seeks Millie to say that he has just spoken to Leo... But the normal set is back. Millie takes pictures against a closed window, Axel breaks down with a bottle in the hand...
