Comment ne pas mentionner la nourriture indienne... Voici la première semaine passée et déjà beaucoup d'expériences culinaires... Parfois un peu épicées!!! Moi qui pensais que tout le monde est malade ici, laisse-tomber, j'adore!!! et je ne suis absolument pas malade du tout ! Au contraire, je pense que je vais rentrer avec qqs kilos de plus ;-)
Chicken Masala ou chicken Tikka, Tandoori, Roti ou Nan (leur pain ici - j'avoue que le Chees Nan ou le Garlic Nan n'a absolument rien à voir avec les cheese Nans à la vache qui rit que nous mangeons en France), Riz à chaque repas, Samossa aux légumes frais et à la féta, dal fry (soupe de lentilles) ou Vegetables Clear Soup, poisson... N'étant pas très éloignée de la côté, Calcutta est réputée pour son poisson frais.Le plus étonnant c'est le paan. C'est une feuille de bananier avec, à l'intérieur, un peu de sucre et une épice au goût anisé... et cela vous fait absolument tout digérer!!
On a expérimenté le restaurant chinois également, mais déjà que je ne suis pas une énorme fan de chinois en France, le Chinois à la mode Indienne, c'est pas fou !
On a une pâtisserie en bas de notre hôtel où les garçons vont souvent se prendre une petite douceur et un restaurant Vegétarien "Govindas" qui fait de la pure cuisine!!! J'adore ! Jeudi soir, nous avons donc testé l'Indian Thali, un plateau avec pleins de sauces différentes, et du fromage cuisiné comme de la féta en sauce... Très bon ! Le tout, c'est de toujours leur demander "is it spicy???" sinon, c'est quasi immangeable pour nos petits estomacs occidentaux ;-)
